Keeping Up Pet-pearances: Pets at Home Reports 80% Surge in Pre-Christmas Pet Grooming 

Pets at Home has reported an 80% surge in bookings for its pet grooming services, as new research by the pet care brand reveals 51% of dog owners want to ensure their pet is looking and smelling their best on Christmas Day.  

In fact, many pet owners prioritise their dogs over themselves when it comes to pre-Christmas pampering. According to the Pets at Home research, 41% of dog owners are more likely to get their dog’s hair done rather than their own, whilst 37% are more likely to get their nails done, rather than their own, in the run up to Christmas. 

Andy Blaney, Head of Grooming at Pets at Home comments,

“Customers are already booking their Christmas appointments with our stylists - we see an increase of 80% in booking requests in October with most salons fully booked by November. With 346 salons nationwide, we have created a record number of appointment slots at extended times to suit our customers’ needs at this busy time of year.”
